Pardon the construction dust…

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Hokay, I figure it’s about time I start work on setting up this comic. The appearance of this page is likely to undergo many radical (and possibly horrifying) changes over the next while. Thanks for your patience during this launch process!

About page updated

Monday, June 16th, 2008

I’ve updated my About page with a bit of history of Waiting For Frodo as well as how Waiting For Bilbo got started, for those interested.

Thanks! (and a new WFB Facebook page)

WFB logoThanks so much for the great response in the comments board and in e-mail, everyone! It’s much appreciated. :-)

It looks as if Waiting For Bilbo is also going to be translated into Portuguese and Spanish, which I’m pretty excited about. More details soon.

Also, I’ve just created a Facebook page for Waiting For Bilbo so if you’re on Facebook, feel free to become a Fan. I’ll be posting strip updates to this page as well as some fun info, sketches of possible new characters, etc.

Feel free to add me as a Friend, but when you send your Facebook request please make sure you mention Waiting For Bilbo — I tend to ignore Friend requests of people with whom I have absolutely zero connection.

Sean Astin at Fan Expo 2008

Woohoo, I saw Sean Astin live for the first time! I attended Fan Expo this year, and Sean gave an entertaining and informative Q&A; I was lucky enough to snag a seat in the front row. I waited an hour in line, chatting with Kristen:

Kristen

Sean said he doesn’t know anything about The Hobbit movies other than what’s already been published. He says he’d love to be in the movie. He does say that the Gaffer would be a possible role but that he’d understand if the director preferred to ask someone who was already older (and didn’t need makeup to make him look older).

Sean has apparently bought the movie options for Lois Lowry’s book, “The Giver.” I loved this book, so am excited!
